On three separate occasions (and at a cost of seven million taxpayer dollars) the National Park Service has studied the effects of snowmobile use on Yellowstone National Park and its visitors and employees. All three studies have yielded the same conclusions. Even limited snowmobile use threatens the park's wildlife and air quality, and replacing snowmobiles with snow coaches is the best alternative for protecting the park and its human and wildlife inhabitants. Even limited snowmobile use degrades Yellowstone's resources and makes the park less safe and less healthy for visitors. The Park Service is accepting comments from the public on the first phase of the new process through September 1st. Please send a message, before the September 1st comment deadline, telling the Park Service to ban snowmobiles from Yellowstone National Park now instead of wasting time and money on another expensive study.
